Construction of a new 35-story mixed-use tower with 250 residential units, 15,000 sq ft of ground-floor retail, and 5 levels of subterranean parking. Includes amenities such as a rooftop pool and fitness center.

Urban Core Developments LLC has officially filed plans for a significant new mixed-use tower at 1234 Wilshire Blvd in Downtown LA. The proposed 35-story structure is set to dramatically reshape a prominent corner of the Wilshire Corridor, bringing a substantial influx of residential density and commercial activity to the area. This filing marks a pivotal moment for the site, which has been vacant for several years following the demolition of an older commercial building.

The project, estimated at a staggering $185 million, envisions 250 modern residential units, catering to the growing demand for urban living in the heart of Los Angeles. Complementing the residential component, the ground floor will feature 15,000 square feet of retail space, designed to activate the street level and provide essential services and amenities for residents and the surrounding community. This retail element is crucial for fostering a vibrant pedestrian environment.

Further enhancing the development's appeal, the plans include five levels of subterranean parking, addressing the perennial challenge of parking in dense urban environments. Residents will also benefit from a suite of high-end amenities, including a rooftop pool offering panoramic city views and a state-of-the-art fitness center. This project aligns with the city's ongoing efforts to promote transit-oriented development and increase housing supply in central Los Angeles, promising a significant impact on the urban fabric of Downtown.
