Known as 'The Pink Palace,' the Beverly Hills Hotel, located at 9641 Sunset Blvd, is investing heavily in the refurbishment of 21 of its 23 bungalows, including several historically significant units favored by Hollywood legends. The renovation focuses on a meticulous restoration of original architectural details combined with a complete upgrade of interiors and technology.
'Our bungalows are a cherished part of our history and a unique offering in the luxury market,' stated John Smith, General Manager of The Beverly Hills Hotel. 'This renovation is about honoring that legacy while ensuring they meet the expectations of today's most discerning travelers, providing unparalleled comfort, privacy, and sophistication.'
Each bungalow will receive new custom-designed furnishings, refreshed bathrooms with state-of-the-art fixtures, and integrated smart home technology. The design aesthetic aims to blend the hotel's classic Hollywood Regency style with contemporary elegance, using a palette of soft pastels and luxurious textures.
Construction is being phased to minimize disruption, with a few bungalows always remaining available. The project involves specialized craftsmen to restore intricate plasterwork, custom millwork, and the iconic green-and-white striped awnings. Landscape architects are also revamping the private gardens and patios associated with each bungalow.
This renovation is part of a broader trend in the luxury hospitality sector, where historic properties are investing in significant upgrades to maintain their competitive edge. The project is expected to be completed in phases over the next two years, with the first set of renovated bungalows available for booking by late 2026. The hotel anticipates the refreshed bungalows will further solidify its status as a premier destination.
