Inglewood's Hollywood Park, home to SoFi Stadium, is accelerating its transformation with the commencement of 'The Residences at SoFi,' the final and largest residential component of the sprawling mixed-use project. This phase will introduce 800 new luxury apartments and townhomes, bringing the total residential units within the development to over 3,000.
'This is the culmination of years of planning and investment, creating a truly integrated community around a world-class entertainment venue,' said Jason Gannon, Managing Director of Hollywood Park, during a groundbreaking ceremony. 'Our vision was always to build more than just a stadium; it was to build a neighborhood, a destination where people can live, work, and thrive.' The residential buildings will feature state-of-the-art amenities, including rooftop pools, co-working spaces, and direct access to the 25-acre parkland.
The Residences at SoFi are strategically located immediately west of SoFi Stadium and the newly opened retail district, offering residents unparalleled access to dining, shopping, and entertainment. The units range from studios to three-bedroom townhomes, with pre-leasing expected to begin in Q4 2026. Rental prices are projected to be competitive for the luxury market, reflecting the prime location and extensive amenities.
'The demand for high-quality housing in Inglewood, especially with the economic uplift from SoFi Stadium and the upcoming Clippers arena, is immense,' noted Dr. Evelyn Reed, an urban planning professor at UCLA. 'This development helps address that need while creating a dynamic urban core that will serve as a model for future large-scale projects.' The project has also committed to local hiring initiatives, providing jobs for Inglewood residents.
Infrastructure improvements, including new roads and public transportation links, have been a key part of the overall Hollywood Park master plan. The development is designed to be highly walkable and bike-friendly, reducing reliance on personal vehicles. 'We're building a sustainable community for the future,' added Gannon, 'one that prioritizes connectivity, green space, and a vibrant lifestyle.'
